Our final closing party

10/5/2017

Picture

Join us this Saturday, October 7th, 6-10pm for our closing party.

Miss Erika Davies and the Men will be performing. We'll have locally crafted beer and tasty treats. And we'll be featuring a handful of our finest artisans and makers in a pop-up style event. Meet them, hear their stories and grab a few unique, one-of-a-kind locally handcrafted items.

It all starts at 6pm and Make Good, 2207 Fern Street, San Diego, CA 92104.

What's Next

10/5/2017

While closing our store in South Park was a difficult but necessary decision (if you haven’t already, read about it here), I’m excited about what’s next, and I hope you’ll be part of it.

Much more than a business to me, Make Good was a labor of love, an opportunity to create a venue for some of the most remarkable artisans and makers in San Diego and Tijuana. I made life-long friendships and had a front-row seat to the remarkable locally handcrafted scene. It was a true privilege to run this store for the last seven years.

While there were a number of mitigating circumstances at caused me to close the store—chief of which has been challenges with my health—it’s important to know that this isn’t the end of Make Good.

Our Instagram feed, which enjoys a growing, engaged following, will continue in earnest as well as some premium resale finds in our PoshMark closet. As we’ve done for some time, we’ll be featuring both local artisans from San Diego and Tijuana, as well as informing you of new adventures we have planned. Keep following to discover new artisans and purchase their work, right through Instagram.

We’ll also be bringing you even more amazing resale clothing finds, the quality of which you simply won’t find anywhere else. Make Good has enjoyed a loyal and growing segment of customers who love our clothing—designer and couture resale finds in new/excellent condition for a fraction of their retail price. There’s a lot to this story, including environmental and human justice reasons that make our resale clothing an important part of being good humans (read more about that here).

This Spring, we’ll kick things off with a very special cocktails-and-clothing event. Envision a relaxing evening of crafted cocktails, tasty hors d’oeuvres, and a remarkable selection of designer and couture clothing at great prices. We’ll host these special events at our home, a historic 100 year-old, one-acre property nestled in the trees in Mt. Helix.

To get your invitation to these events, join our email list and follow us on Instagram. Or find us on Posh Mark

We’re deeply grateful for these last seven years, and look forward to sharing these new adventures with you.
