Fueled by scones baked that morning at Rebecca's, bloody mary's and mimosas, and led by talented artisans Lizette (from City Heights) and Liucija (from Tijuana), it was a make-fest of the first order at Make Good. Etsy provided some nifty swag, participants received 20% off discounts in the store and the creativity was overflowing. Can't wait to do it again!
Yelp invited us to their first-time event here in San Diego, Yelp's Totally Bazaar. We're joining other local Yelp fav's—food, drink and makers—for an evening under the stars at Maker's Quarter. Unlike most events we participate in, this one is an RSVP only type gig. If you've already confirmed your attendance, we look forward to seeing you there! If you missed it, no worries, stop by our shop anytime. We're open everyday during the holidays, 11am-7pm.
So cool to see South Park's first tree lighting ceremony, the crowds really turned out! Toni Akins and Todd Gloria spoke, and special thanks to all those who pulled this together, that was no small task (friends and local businesses owners Donna, Christie, Jeffrey and Matt worked hard to pull this together, along with a team of others). Hanging out and seeing friends in the neighborhood, outside of the shop was kinda cool as well. Great way to kickoff the season!
For #shopsmall Saturday, we held a raffle for a $131.00 gift certificate. The odd number is a nod to our 131 artisans who are part of Make Good, as we wanted to honor both our artisans and our customers. Every customer who purchased an item on Saturday was entered in the raffle, and Mari Zuniga is the lucky winner! Congratulations Mari!
This Saturday, November 30th is Small Business Saturday at Make Good. Started by American Express as a way to encourage awareness and support of small, local businesses, Small Business Saturday embraces many of the values we hold dear at Make Good. Hope to see you then!
