The first time we try something, we're never sure what exactly to expect. Like a lot of things we try, Meet Your Maker was a big experiment. It felt a lot like the old days when we'd host handcrafted events in our home, and lots of people started showing up, hanging out, meeting artisans, tasting some local eats and making new friends. In other words, it was an awesome day that just felt right.
On Sunday November 2nd, A dozen local Make Good artisans hung out with us in the grass lot next door to the shop. Some were from just down the street here in South Park, others were from Tijuana. Honoring loved ones with the Dia de los Muertos holiday, Meet Your Maker was a chance to meet some of the amazing people behind the things we sell at Make Good. Jewelry, clothing, kid stuff, home goods and art were represented, along with Calexico Creamery serving up some delicious helados out of their vintage trailer, and Lucky Dutch sold out of their stellar cold-pressed juice, made right here in South Park.
